2022 Deep Sea Malbec, Santa Barbara County: Our 2022 Malbec is rich with notes of ripe Black Cherry, Blueberry and Cola. Waves of Raspberry, Pomegranate, and Plum are followed by savory Spices and toasted Oak. Sourced from the acclaimed Valley View Vineyard in Los Alamos, the favorable growing conditions of the Santa Ynez Valley are known to produce complex, and unique wines. Our 2022 Malbec is an excellent example of the region.
The CONWAY Cabernet Sauvignon is one of our favorite wines to produce. Always made in limited quantities, the 2022 vintage displays floral and earthy notes, as well as rich black currant and blackberry flavors. The dark fruit is balanced by firm tannins and hint of savory black olive which adds an earthy complexity. Aged in 30% New French Oak for 20 months, the excellent structure and balance make this full-bodied Cabernet Sauvignon easy to drink on its own, and a delightful pairing with a hearty dish.
2023 Deep Sea Chardonnay "Seaturtle,” Santa Barbara County: Our Chardonnay is sourced from an acclaimed Los Alamos Vineyard site, Valley View Vineyard. Original cuttings for this vineyard were brought over from Europe 25 years ago. Stainless steel fermented, and then transferred to a combination of new and neutral oak barrels for 6 months. The barrel breakdown is roughly 70% New, 30% neutral. 100% malo-lactic fermentation.
2023 Riesling, Santa Barbara County: This off-dry Riesling offers fragrant aromas of Honeyed Pear, Apricot, and Peach. Fresh acidity balances ripe fruit flavors of Lychee, Nectarine and sun-kissed Peaches.
Sourced from the Valley View Vineyard in the Santa Ynez Valley, this Syrah is crafted with 96% Syrah grapes and 4% Viognier. The addition of the Viognier is a practice known as "method blonde.” Aged for 19 months in a combination of 30% new French Oak and 70% neutral M+French Oak barrels, it strikes a perfect balance between fruit, earthy notes, and oak. Smells Like: Blueberry, Sage, Tobacco, Black Pepper, and Earth (forest floor). Tastes Like: Dark Fruits, Espresso, Plum and Cedar. Limited Production: 246 cases.
